ManFrotto 701HDV Fluid Drag Tripod
Description
The Manfrotto 701HDV Fluid Drag Tripod System is a versatile, compact video tripod setup developed specifically to support the latest generation of professional digital mirrorless cameras, lightweight DSLRs, and modular video source rigs. Boasting an updated ergonomic chassis design, this fluid head configuration provides exceptionally smooth movements and continuous control for payload setups weighing up to 4 kg (8.8 lbs).
Engineered with fixed fluid cartridges on both the pan and tilt axes, the 701HDV eliminates micro-stuttering during critical tracking shots. It features a specialized internal counterbalance spring preset for standard camera configurations, preventing sudden front or back tilting when releasing the pan bar. The system is equipped with an elongated sliding quick-release plate to facilitate rapid balancing of front-heavy or rear-heavy zoom lens setups, independent positive drag locks, an adjustable pan handle, and a built-in bubble level for precise horizon calibration across varying production environments.
