The Sachtler Ace Tripod System is a professional broadcast-feel fluid head and tripod combo designed specifically for videographers, event shooters, and independent documentary filmmakers using smaller, lightweight setups. Optimally balanced for payloads ranging from 0 to 4 kg (0 to 8.8 lbs), this ultra-portable system provides premium stabilizing support for mirrorless camera builds, lightweight DSLRs, and compact professional camcorders.
Engineered with Sachtler’s patented SA-drag™ fluid damping mechanism, the Ace ensures incredibly smooth, predictable drag behavior across both pan and tilt operations, allowing for precision framing in any field climate. The glass-fiber reinforced composite fluid head includes 5 steps of rapid counterbalance alongside an absolute ‘0’ setting, plus a long 104 mm sliding quick-release plate with integrated alignment markers to make re-balancing accessorized rigs instantaneous. Built with a 2-stage aluminum structure, it includes an integrated high-visibility spirit level, dedicated 3/8”-16 accessory thread mounts on the bowl, a robust carry handle, and a detachable spreader configuration built to withstand demanding field productions without weighing down the creator.
