How can we help?
Hardware Setup in DaVinci Resolve System 1
Setting Up the Dedicated Reference Monitor
First, let’s configure your secondary display to ensure you’re seeing an accurate picture.
- Start by heading up to the DaVinci Resolve menu in the top-left corner and select Preferences.
- In the pop-up window, make sure you’re under the System tab, then navigate to the Video and Audio I/O section.
- Under the Monitor Device dropdown, locate and select your output card—in this case, the DeckLink 4K Extreme.
- Once selected, click Save at the bottom of the window to apply the changes.
Configuring the DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel
Now, let’s get your tactile controls up and running by connecting the Mini Panel.
- We’ll stay right here in the Preferences menu.
- This time, navigate to the Control Panels tab on the left-hand sidebar.
- In the ‘Control Panel’ dropdown menu, select the DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel USB.
- Click Save to confirm your settings.
Note: Keep in mind that for these hardware changes to take effect, you’ll need to restart DaVinci Resolve.
